About

One summer afternoon over beers, Vancouver artist/writer Christopher Williams and Optimum Wound’s Jason Thibault hatched a plan to create the most badass crime website on the net.
BLUNT FORCE BEATING was born.

BFB is your daily crime culture journal reviewing movies, books, TV, comics, documentaries and video games that fall within crime and related violent subgenres.

Christoper “Willie” Williams is a Vancouver based artist and writer. A graduate of The University of British Columbia’s Art History program he spends his time drawing and painting, watching countless films and working on a graphic novel script, short stories, film reviews and  contemplating life, death, the surreal, macabre and the disturbed. A connoisseur of whiskey and cheese, his love of the finer things in life often leads him down the dark roads of excess. Christopher’s visual at has been shown in Canada, the UK and the United States and is held a number of private collections. His work tends toward the macabre and the surreal, visceral, hard-lined and detailed. Whether holed up in his studio with a fine single malt, drinking tall boy “Rabbits” at the cinema watching the ultra-violence, or living the rock-star artist lifestyle, Christopher is an upcoming talent to watch out for.

View his work at http://www.chris-williamsart.com, fan him at the Christopher Williams Facebook Page and then buy some of his art at his Big Cartel online shop.

Jason Thibault is a writer, artist and co-owner / publisher of Optimum Wound Comics. He launched OWC in 2005 with partner Richard Serrao. Initially a webcomics portal they became print publishers in 2008 by releasing Danijel Zelelj’s REX and then their first house book Optimum Wound Volume One in 2009.
Jason divides his time between writing and drawing badass crime comics, obsessing about pen and ink techniques and helping other creators to market themselves online and grow their fanbases.
In 2010 he’ll be creating a devastating new comic with partner Serrao while writing a new book and course teaching artists how to dominate the internets.
You can find him talking a lot on Twitter or over at Optimum Wound.
