An Interview with Black and White Art Maestro Tim Bradstreet

So Tim Bradstreet spoke with us over at Optimum Wound.

A couple of years back I tried to nail down an interview with Tim Bradstreet for the site but he was swamped with work. I was doing the first set of a series of pieces on pen and ink masters. Tim was on the short list.

Fast forward to February 2010 and Richard Serrao approached Tim again. The timing was right and Tim answered 20 questions. He over delivered in the form of 6000+ words worth of knowledge and wisdom. I had to break that sucker up into 3 parts.

If the interview was less about technique and more about genre I could have easily posted that here on Blunt Force. Tim is the ultimate illustrator for drawing a badass cover your crime comic or novel and has done so hundreds of times.

His covers for the Punisher, Hellblazer and Criminal Macabre will stand the test of time for decades to come.

Read the first part of the Tim Bradstreet interview.

And here’s part two and part three.
